You hear it all the time that you need to utilise your time effectively BUT what exactly does it mean?
It means tracking your time so that you’re not wasting the time that you have on tasks that are not going to move you forward.
Tracking your time is vital to your business as you don’t want to be spending hours glued to the laptop and then when you look back at the end of the day, you see you haven’t achieved anything!
It’s even more important if you can’t focus for long periods of time. So you need to work out when during the day you’re most alert, focused and productive so that you not going to waste time and can track your time
I know due to my personal health challenges, I have off days so I know how important it is to the times I’ve set for each income activity that I get it done in that timeframe that I’ve set.
So how do you go about tracking your time?

1. Plan your day the night before

Before you go to bed, plan out by asking yourself how much time you have to work on your business? Is it 1 hour, or 30 mins if you’re busy? How long have you got to work on your business?

2. Set daily goals that you need to achieve by the end of the day

What do you need to accomplish for the day ahead? Is it:
To connect with new people
To create content for the week or month ahead?
If you’re not clear with this, then you’ve already failed as it will lead to you wasting time and not doing anything.
You need to be crystal clear about what you are looking to achieve and the action steps you need to take to get there. If you’re not then you’re going to struggle to take action which will lead to you wasting your time and day

3. Know your key money-making activities

Do you know what are the key income tasks you need to do that are going to move you and your business forward that you need to do daily?
The daily activities are:

1. Creating Content so you’re solving your target audience’s problems and adding value to the marketplace

2. Connecting with new people so you’re building your audience

3. Following Up and

4. Closing by getting a decision

4. Know how long each one takes to do

You need to know how long each income task is going to take because if you don’t, then you’ll be wasting valuable time which will lead to you not finishing what you started.
You need to sit down and go through each income activity that you do daily and know long it is going to take so that you make sure you do it in the time you have.
